You know it’s not your fault, right?

There are moments in life when anxiety feels like it takes up the entire room.
It tightens your chest, sends your mind into overanalyzing future scenarios, and tells you lies that somewhere along the way, you began to believe like: โ€œyou donโ€™t belongโ€ or โ€œyouโ€™re too much.โ€

But what if we looked deeper? What if anxiety wasnโ€™t a flaw or something to get rid of but a signal to listen to?

Like a constant, persistent call from your body, your soul, your younger self asking you to come home. When you come home to your TRUE self, you discover where trust, freedom, and safety live. Where play and creativity are in constant overflow and where you feel deeply connected to those around you.

Below, I’m sharing five powerful shifts that helped me reframe how I navigate anxious moments. Five truths that might just change how you see yourself too...

TRUTH # 1: The Root of Anxiety Isnโ€™t THE EvenT. Itโ€™s the Meaning We Made of It

Anxiety often isnโ€™t about what happened.
Itโ€™s about what we made it mean about us.

The damage doesnโ€™t always come from the emotional pain of a moment, but it can come from the story we unconsciously attached to it:


โ€œIโ€™m not safe.โ€
โ€œIโ€™m not worthy.โ€
โ€œThis is all my fault.โ€

Once we become aware of those stories, we create space to choose new ones.
Not by force, but by invitation.

TRUTH #2: Anxiety Can Disguise Itself as Intuition

Sometimes we confuse fear with truth.
Anxiety tends to shout internally, while intuition whispers.

Anxiety is born from the past.
Intuition rises from the present.

When we reconnect with our bodies and listen without judgment, we can start to discern the difference and learn to trust ourselves again.

TRUTH #3: You Are Not Too Much

Pause here and take a moment to reflect on what “too much” means to you. (Too many needs? emotions? responsibility?)

Say this out loud: I. Am. Not. Too. Much.

You never were.

You donโ€™t need to shrink yourself to be accepted.
You donโ€™t need to make yourself smaller so others feel comfortable.

Donโ€™t take yourself out of the game because someone once said the room wasnโ€™t built for someone like you.

Flat out, you belong.


Not because youโ€™ve earned it, but because youโ€™re here.

Truth #4: Boundaries Are a Form of Self-Respect

When we first start setting boundaries, we fear people will leave.

And yes, some will.
And some will stay and rise to meet the version of you who no longer leaks energy trying to keep the peace at your own expense.

Boundaries arenโ€™t punishments.
Theyโ€™re bridges to deeper, more honest connections.


They teach the people around you how to love you better and teach YOU how to love yourself in return.

Truth #5: You Choose Who Gets Access to You

Your energy is sacred. And your ability to bring presence into your day is a gift not only to yourself, but to others (even if that doesn’t feel like it’s enough)

But not everyone deserves front-row access to your inner world simply because theyโ€™ve always had it. (Read that again)

Take inventory of the relationships in your life:

Did they earn your trust? Or did you hand it over out of obligation?

You are allowed to choose who stays.
You are allowed to renegotiate
roles.
You are allowed to create space, without guilt.


Thereโ€™s a peace that lives just beneath the noise and it doesnโ€™t require you to change who you are. But it does ask you to remember who youโ€™ve always been beneath the “shoulds” and to-dos.
