🥄 The Risotto Reminder: Why You Still Feel Stuck (Even After Doing All the “Right” Things)
October 14, 2025

This weekend, we celebrated Thanksgiving here in Canada.
And as I was attempting to make mushroom risotto for only the second time in my life, I suddenly remembered something my friend Beth told me:
“Don’t walk away. Keep stirring.”
It’s the golden rule of risotto-making.
And as I stood there, slowly stirring the rice, I realized…
This is what it feels like to be a high-achieving woman trying to “figure it all out.”
We gather the ingredients:
📝 The books
🎧 The podcasts
🧘♀️ The meditation apps
📅 The perfectly color-coded schedule of to-dos that feel necessary
You’ve done what you’ve always done, researched, overanalyzed, pushed through, performed.
You’ve shown up. Got it done.
And yet… something still hasn’t clicked.
Something still feels missing.
Because having the ingredients doesn’t guarantee the cake will rise.
(Or that the risotto will actually risotto 🫠)
What you really need is:
- The recipe
- The rhythm
- The space for it all to come together into something nourishing
And maybe… no one ever taught you how.
🌀 Your natural rhythm was never built for burnout
It’s so easy to turn your unmet peace into a personal failure.
But the truth is: your mind, your nervous system, your whole internal world was never meant to run on hustle and hypervigilance.
That daily battle for worthiness? It’s not your fault.
It’s the residue of a world that’s told you that flow is a luxury.
That rest must be earned.
That presence is something you fit in—not something you’re allowed to live inside of.
But here’s what I know:
Flow isn’t about chasing stillness or squeezing yourself into a “perfect routine.”
Flow is learning how to work with your busy, brilliant mind—not against it.
It’s knowing when to stir… and when to let things rise.
It’s learning how to be in relationship with time—not at war with it.
🩵 If this feels familiar, I have something for you.
I’m inviting you to a free 2-day virtual event where you’ll get to experience what I teach, not just hear about it.
You’ll learn how to create the kind of space that actually supports your growth, without guilt, without overwhelm, and without the need to earn your rest first.
We’ll explore:
🌊 How to let go of the guilt that chases your every pause
👟 How to move through your day with both peace and purpose
🩵 How to trust yourself again and stop second-guessing every decision
It’s not an event about listening and taking notes.
It’s an immersive hands-on space to reconnect with your nervous system, your creative voice, and your personal pace, so you can finally stop managing your life like a to-do list.
📩 For More details, and to stay connected, join the Reset & Thrive Community or send me an email [email protected] and I’ll add you to the event list.
Just know this:
If you’ve ever felt like something was missing, but you couldn’t name what—this may be it.
The beginning of a different relationship with time, with peace, and with yourself.
With love, creativity, and courage,
Katherine
